DOT Offers Technical Assistance for Community Transportation Development

Provides two years of technical assistance to 52 disadvantaged communities.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) distributed $23.6 million to provide two years of technical assistance to 112 underserved communities to improve their local transportation solutions. The grant funding is managed by the Thriving Communities Program, allowing the selected communities to identify, develop, and construct transportation projects to support local economies and public access.

“President Biden’s infrastructure law has created a once-in-a-generation opportunity through which communities are reimagining and delivering safe, reliable transportation,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “Our Department is proud to help another 112 under-resourced communities with hands-on assistance to secure federal infrastructure funding, and then deliver those projects well.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for Secretary Buttigieg as he oversees infrastructure investments under the Thriving Communities Program.
  • For DOT officials as they award grants and other funding to improve public transit and community access.
