Additional National Prayer Needs
Pray for America’s Military
U.S. military leaders are trying to find a way for American troops to remain in Niger after that country revoked the military accord that allowed U.S. personnel in the nation. Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh said, “We are working through diplomatic channels to seek clarification. These are ongoing discussions and we don’t have more to share at this time.”
Pray for Pentagon officials as they work to keep U.S. operations going in sub-Saharan Africa.
PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the U.S. “will not let Ukraine fail,” though aid to Ukraine has stalled in Congress. “Ukraine’s troops face harsh conditions and hard fighting, and Ukraine civilians endure a constant barrage of Russian missiles and Iranian drones, but Ukraine won’t back down, and neither will the United States,” Secretary Austin said at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
Pray for discernment for U.S. and allied officials as they assess the assistance needs of Ukraine in the war with Russia.
Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s recent call for new elections in Israel was “totally inappropriate.“ The head of Israel’s Mossad returned to Qatar to continue discussions regarding a possible cease-fire and hostage exchange.
Pray for U.S. and Israeli officials as discussions surrounding a cease-fire and hostage release continue.
Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
The Food and Drug Administration has approved medication under the agency’s accelerated approval pathway for moderate to advanced liver scarring linked with conditions such as high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.
For federal health officials to be discerning as they fast-track certain pharmaceuticals and therapies for patient use.
Pray for AMERICA’S ECONOMY
The National Association of Realtors has agreed to a settlement in a class action lawsuit that will eliminate the standard 6 percent commission. The landmark antitrust suit brought by groups of home sellers eliminates rules on commissions and is expected to reduce the cost of buying and selling homes.
Pray for U.S. housing and lending officials as they navigate the new home-buying and selling model that will result from the commission change.
Pray for Needs Across the States
Wisconsin’s State Legislature passed new legislative district maps drawn up by Governor Tony Evers after the state’s supreme court ruled the current districting was unconstitutional. Governor Tony Evers signed the legislative redistricting, preventing the state’s high court from implementing its own iteration of the maps.
Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs vetoed the bipartisan Arizona Starter Homes Act, which would have supported housing affordability by creating “municipal prohibitions relating to home designs and single-family home lot sizes.” Governor Hobbs also vetoed the Arizona Border Invasion Act that would authorize law enforcement to arrest illegal migrants who had previously been deported.
Pray for state officials as they seek to address issues pertaining to elections, housing, and immigration.
Pray for America’s Faith Community
The Ninevites “had no clue there was a God of mercy, but you do. Are you going to say ‘no‘ to God when you know His compassion and the need of people all around you? We’ve got to say ‘yes‘ to God because the stakes are too high. … God’s not done yet. … You just don’t know what a ‘yes‘ to God will mean for someone else, because your word may change their world.“ – Pastor Mark Moore, Christ Church of the Valley, March 2024
