Executive Branch: Pray for the President and his Administration
First Lady Jill Biden and Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra announced the administration’s investment in women’s health research as they toured Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. Secretary Becerra also discussed the administration’s efforts to lower prescription drug costs.
For wisdom for the president and members of his administration as they prioritize lowering the cost of prescriptions and promote women’s health research.
Legislative Branch: Pray for Senators and Representatives in Congress
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is seeking to table the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary. Senators in the minority party oppose the breaking of 200 years of precedent to avoid holding an impeachment trial.
Pray for the leadership and members of the Senate as they deliberate the potential impeachment trial of the DHS secretary.
PRAY FOR CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Chair Michael McCaul of Texas wrote a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken regarding requested documents concerning the “after-action review” of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. Chair McCaul stated that the “law does not afford the State Department blanket authority to hide behind ‘Executive Branch confidentiality interests’ to obstruct Congress’s access to the truth.” The letter states the committee will hold Secretary Blinken in contempt of Congress if the requested documents are not submitted by March 6.
Pray for House and Senate committees as they endeavor to provide oversight of the Executive Branch.
Judicial Branch: Pray for Supreme Court Justices and Federal Judges
A federal judge for the Northern District of New Jersey declined to dismiss a case that seeks to eliminate county party line organization on ballots. The judge will hear the arguments regarding the removal of the organizational grouping of candidates in late March.
Pray for discernment for federal judges as they hear lawsuits regarding election integrity and ballot constitutionality.
