U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has gone to Israel to discuss the possibility of a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas to release hostages. On Tuesday, in Doha, Qatar, the secretary of state discussed a temporary cease-fire and more humanitarian aid for Palestinians with Qatari and Egyptian leaders.
Secretary Blinken said, “We will be working as hard as we possibly can to try to get an agreement so that we can move forward with not only a renewed but an expanded agreement on hostages and all the benefits that would bring with it.”
