Today, President Donald Trump will hold a roundtable with governors on reopening America’s small businesses.
The C.A.R.E.S. Act and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program were implemented in March to assist small businesses impacted by the pandemic. Earlier this month the Paycheck Protection Program, designed to enable businesses to retain and pay their employees during the lockdown, was updated with the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act, allowing small businesses to better utilize the aid available and to facilitate loan forgiveness.
Governor Pete Ricketts of Nebraska will be one of those participating in the roundtable. A White House official said, “We are happy to welcome Governor Ricketts to the White House to discuss the Administration’s plan to partner with states like Nebraska to reopen small businesses and reignite our economy.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president’s roundtable discussion to produce beneficial plans of action for the states.
- For the governors as they work to balance reopening and public health.
- For small businesses as they endeavor to recover from the pandemic.
