President Donald Trump is meeting with Vice President Mike Pence before taking part in a round table meeting on Fighting for America’s Seniors in the Cabinet Room of the White House. He will meet with federal officials to discuss issues unique to America’s senior citizens, solutions to those concerns, as well as receive updates on the results of previous initiatives by the administration. The primary focus will be on Medicare, health insurance, prescription drug prices, and lowering the cost of overall health care for the nation’s seniors.
At the end of May, when speaking from the White House at the Protecting Seniors with Diabetes event, the president said, “Nothing will ever stop me from fulfilling my solemn duty to America’s seniors. I’ll use every power at my disposal to lower drug prices, and my administration will always protect Medicare and Social Security.”
