Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson is traveling to Saudi Arabia and Qatar this week. He seeks to further U.S. efforts to block the ability of Hamas and other terrorist organizations to raise and move funds to support their violent acts.
State Department Press Secretary Matthew Miller said Under Secretary Nelson “will also discuss the facilitation of legitimate humanitarian aid, as President Biden has stressed the urgency of getting life-saving aid on an ongoing basis to the people of Gaza.“
In Riyadh and in Doha, Under Secretary Nelson is meeting with national security officials to discuss how to disrupt terrorist financing networks.
