Executive Branch: Pray for the President and his Administration
White House Deputy National Security Adviser Jon Finer said the U.S. will offer “every kind of support” to Israel in addressing the hostage situation which is part of the Israel-Hamas war. He said the administration will be “laser-focused” on securing the release of American hostages.
Pray for the release of all hostages taken by Hamas to locations inside the Gaza Strip.
Legislative Branch: Pray for Senators and Representatives in Congress
Speaking of the crisis at the border, Representative Juan Ciscomani of Arizona said, “This goes way beyond resources. You can put more agents there, you can put more technology, you can finish the wall, you can do all these kinds of things that we’re gearing toward. However, the real difference will be on the policy side.”
Pray for members of Congress as they consider immigration reform.
PRAY FOR CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES
Members of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on East Asia say the United States’ policy intended to contain North Korea’s nuclear ambitions has failed. They believe Congress now needs to focus on short-term “risk reduction,” while North Korea continues to increase threats and testing programs.
Pray for members of Congress and the State Department as they craft policies that relate to denuclearization in North Korea.
Judicial Branch: Pray for Supreme Court Justices and Federal Judges
The Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has expanded its injunction against the “nerve center” of the federal government’s censorship. The court corrected an error in a prior ruling in the landmark free speech case of Missouri v. Biden. The move upholds the First Amendment and hampers the type of alleged censorship regarding elections. The case is still being litigated.
Pray for federal judges as they consider the attempts of federal authorities to coordinate with social media platforms to suppress “disfavored speech.”
