This morning, President Joe Biden is meeting with President Sauli Niinistö of Finland in Helsinki.
The two heads of state will then take part in the third U.S.-Nordic Leaders’ Summit at the Presidential Palace. Prime Ministers Ulf Kristersson of Sweden, Jonas Gahr Støre of Norway, Mette Frederiksen of Denmark, and Katrín Jakobsdóttir of Iceland will participate in this summit, which is intended to enhance security, environmental, and technological cooperation between the Nordic nations and the U.S.
The first of the U.S.-Nordic Leaders’ Summits took place in Sweden in 2013 and the most recent occurred in the United States in 2016.
