Letter sent to Attorney General requests help from FBI in Arbery shooting case.
Disheartened by the apparent delays displayed by the state prosecutors of Georgia, the Players Coalition submitted a letter to Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray this past Friday. Containing the signatures of many sports stars such as Tom Brady and Troy Vincent, the NFL director of football operations, the letter requests immediate federal investigation into the shooting and death of Ahmaud Arbery.
Video evidence of the February 23rd shooting recently went viral, sparking national outrage. A spokesperson from the Justice Department, Matt Lloyd, said, “The FBI has said it’s assisting and as is standard protocol we look forward to working with them should information come to light of a potential federal violation.”
