The federal advisory committee will discuss production policies.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will virtually host the third public meeting for urban agriculture on November 29. The Federal Advisory Committee for Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production will be discussing policy recommendations they would like to submit to Secretary Tom Vilsack, which the public is encouraged to attend to create a network of feedback for the committee.
“The federal advisory committee’s expertise and guidance is helping us dig into issues facing urban producers, enabling us to determine ways USDA can better serve them,” said Natural Resources Conservation Service Chief Terry Cosby. “This partnership helps urban producers as well as the neighborhoods they grow in, supporting equity and resilient local food systems and access to nutritious food.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Chief Terry Cosby and those working in the Natural Resources Conservation Service as they support urban agriculture.
- For members of the federal advisory committee as they meet to develop urban agricultural policies.
- For the public to be active in providing feedback regarding knowledge and perspectives on urban food production.
