Applications are available starting Veterans Day.
The Department of the Interior announced that they are launching free lifetime passes to federal recreation sites for all veterans of the U.S. Armed Services and Gold Star Families. Starting Veterans Day, November 11, veterans can apply for these passes and gain free entrance to National Parks, Wildlife Refuges, and more than 400 million acres of public lands.
“This new lifetime pass is a small demonstration of our nation’s gratitude and support for those who have selflessly served in the U.S. Armed Forces,” said Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, whose father served during the Vietnam War. “I’m proud the Department of the Interior can provide veterans and Gold Star Families opportunities for recreation, education, and enjoyment from our country’s treasured lands.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Interior Secretary Haaland as she leads the many agencies within her department.
- For Secretary McDonough as he heads the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- That U.S. veterans and their families make use of the free passes and enjoy the nation’s public lands.
