Officials highlight taking care of initiatives to care for service members and their families.
The Department of Defense (DoD) recognizes November as National Veterans and Military Families Month, kicking off its commemoration this week. Defense officials featured the services offered through the department to resolve the unique hurdles that military families regularly face, organizing many quality-of-life programs that make military moves easier and support marital relationships, parenting, and caregiving.
“To the nearly 5.2 million service members and families, we celebrate and thank you for the support you give to our nation each day,” said Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy Patricia Montes Barron. “We will continue to offer access to resources that help you navigate and create healthy relationships and connections throughout different MilLife experiences and transitional moments.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Deputy Assistant Secretary Montes Barron as she supports military families and communities.
- For Secretary Austin to seek the Lord’s leading as he heads the Defense Department.
- For God’s protection over U.S. military personnel at home and abroad.
