Federal health department buys $290 million worth.
President Biden’s administration is purchasing a drug supply to treat radiation sickness, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) revealed. The acquisition comes at a time when Russian President Vladimir Putin is threatening to use nuclear weapons in his country’s war in Ukraine.
President Biden recently spoke about the possibility of a nuclear “Armageddon,” indicating the risks of escalation with the Kremlin leader.
HHS was quick to point out that the drug purchase is not connected necessarily to President Putin’s threats. The department said the $290 million worth of drugs will be part of a managed inventory.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and health officials as they manage the federal inventory of medications.
- For wisdom for Secretary Becerra as he oversees the many agencies with the nation’s health department.
