U.S. Army deploys soldiers to train on rocket systems for national combat readiness.
U.S. Army Europe and Africa announced that two High Mobility Rocket Systems (HIMARS) are being sent to Latvia for the country’s national combat readiness exercises. Roughly a dozen personnel will be deployed with the rocket systems in the exercises, named Namejs 2022, to practice swift utilization of long-range precision fires.
“Namejs is an opportunity to enhance our readiness and strengthen our relationship with our NATO Allies,” stated Colonel Richard Ikena, 1st Infantry Division Artillery Commander. “It also demonstrates our ability to rapidly deploy our Soldiers and long-range precision fires capabilities at a moment’s notice anywhere in the European theater.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Colonel Ikena as he heads the 1st Infantry Division Artillery.
- For Secretary Wormuth to seek God’s wisdom as she leads the U.S. Army.
- For discernment for Defense Secretary Austin as he advises the president.
