Russian foreign minister says WWIII would be nuclear.
Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby announced that security assistance packages would be coming to the aid for Ukraine to help them defend their country.
“The kinds of material that are going to be in these security systems packages going forward, I think you’ve rightly said with detail,” Mr. Kirby stated. “It’s going to be some weapons that can support them on the ground as well as weapons that could support the airborne challenges they have, and I think I think we feel comfortable going about that far.”
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Russia’s nuclear forces were placed on high alert, a move the Pentagon spokesman denounced while addressing they are closely monitoring the situation and will take the steps necessary to secure the safety of the United States.
Russia’s foreign minister Sergei Lavrov warned that a third World War will be “nuclear and destructive.” Mr. Lavrov has said that Russia, which launched what it calls a special military operation against Ukraine last week, would face a “real danger” if Kyiv acquired nuclear weapons.
