Today, President Joe Biden will be hosting the international Summit for Democracy virtually from the White House. “On day zero of the Summit for Democracy, we are excited to be convening over 100 governments and even more members of civil society and the private sector,” said White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
As the U.S. sees challenges from both China and Russia, in terms of their recent military buildup and aggressive restrictions on the rights of their citizens, the press secretary said that the summit will “focus on what the president has called ‘the challenge of our time,’ reversing the ongoing global recession and ensuring that democracies deliver for their people.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God to direct the conversations and discussions of world leaders during the summit.
- For God’s hand to be on the summit so that any decisions reached would be honoring and glorifying to Him.
- For wisdom for the president as he meets with leaders from world governments and those in the private sector.
