Grants for redevelopment for eight communities through Choice Neighborhoods Initiative.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced last week that eight communities across the United States were chosen to receive $450,000 each to support neighborhoods that are severely distressed and in need of improvement. This revitalization project places an emphasis on community awareness and links housing improvements with social services and neighborhood improvements.
Deputy Secretary Adrianne Todman stated, “As the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative marks its 10-year anniversary, we applaud the transformational work the Initiative has accomplished in the last decade and are excited to continue the mission with today’s announcement. These resources will support a robust planning process that will bring a wide group of residents and stakeholders together to share their hopes for their community.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Deputy Secretary Todman as she oversees the disbursement of $3.6 million.
- For Secretary Fudges to seek God’s discernment as she heads HUD.
- For effective and efficient use of the funding for community revitalization.
- For communities to give the glory to God for the improvement of their neighborhoods.
