Behold, all souls are mine. – Ezekiel 18:4
That’s mine! You hear that often when toddlers are playing. They may or may not be the rightful owner of whatever they squabble over. Today’s verse from Ezekiel says God is the rightful Owner of all people. He created every soul.
The apostle Paul said, “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11). Whether they believe in God or not, all people will acknowledge that they truly belong to Him. The Bible predicts a judgment day. Jesus said, “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats” (Matthew 24: 31-32). God has the right and the power to do what He will concerning the eternity of all He created.
God’s will is that no one should perish, but all will receive Christ as their Savior (2 Peter 3:9). Paul says of Jesus in Acts 4:12, “And there is no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Pray for lost souls to be saved. Pray for your life to be a testimony that will magnify Him so that others will be drawn to Him. Pray for the eyes of the citizens and governing officials of the United States to be open to God’s grace and truth.

Behold, all souls are mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is mine: the soul who sins shall die.
