Hide and Seek
The objective of the children’s hide and seek game is not to be discovered. Aren’t you glad God doesn’t play that game with you? His desire is that you will have such a deep longing for Him that you will spend time searching the Scriptures, where you will find Him (John 5:39). Moreover, as it says in Isaiah 55:6, “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near.” He wants you to come to Him in prayer – to call upon Him because He is right there at your side, not hidden from you at all. “For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as the Lord our God is to us, whenever we call upon him?” (Deuteronomy 4:7). Don’t let anything hold you back from seeking Him and calling on Him. God desires for you to know Him and spend time with Him.
