Conservation Act has allowed greater access to public lands for Americans
The Interior Department released a press release on Thursday, announcing and celebrating the one year anniversary of the John D. Dingell Jr. Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act. This law accomplished many conservation goals including the reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund, called for an increase in public land access, and pushed for more recreation and conservation activities for Americans to participate in.
Secretary Bernhardt praised the milestone saying, “I am proud that the Department of the Interior and its bureaus have worked exhaustively this past year to meet our goals for implementing this historic public lands law for the American people.” The Interior Department has been able to increase the scope of their conservation efforts as a result.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That God would continue to use the Interior Department to preserve His creation.
- For Secretary Bernhardt to be guided by God as to how to conserve the environment for years to come.
- For President Trump’s Administration to be given wisdom on how best to set environmental policy.
