This morning, President Joe Biden is expected to return to Washington, D.C. from Camp David in Maryland where he and the first lady spent Easter weekend. The president is scheduled to speak about Easter holiday traditions from the White House.
As the numbers of migrants crossing the United States’ southern border have continued to increase, the State Department announced that Special Envoy for the Northern Triangle Ricardo Zuniga is traveling to Guatemala and El Salvador. Senior Director for Transborder Security at the National Security Council Katie Tobin will join him.
Envoy Zuniga will be discussing what the State Department referred to as “irregular migration in, from, and through the region.” The need for protection and humanitarian aid for the migrants will also be discussed with Central American officials.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God to use the president’s words to bring honor and glory to Him and to use the White House events to bring more to saving faith in Jesus Christ.
- For the State Department as it addresses the immigration crisis.
- For wisdom for Envoy Zuniga and Director Tobin as they meet with Central American leaders.
