“My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.” – Isaiah 46:10
How are things going for you today? You are fully two months into the year. You probably kissed your resolutions goodbye weeks ago. But is your life anywhere near the picture you had painted in the theater of your mind when the new year was at hand? Maybe you’ve had to deal with disappointments, suffering, or an overwhelming heartache. Are you feeling weighted down? You aren’t alone.
The lovely smells of the springtime air may not be here yet. Mental health experts say March, especially early March, is a time of the blues, the blahs and depression. People sense nature changing all around them, but they seem stuck in the same old grind. Expectations are high, but they aren’t met. If your moods are out of control, seek professional help. But if it is just the blahs that have you, turn again to the God of your salvation, to the all Sovereign One who has had everything under His control from the beginning.
It is time to turn that painting you had in your mind’s eye over to the Master Creator. He wants to create a beautiful and wonderful masterpiece out of your life. Give Him your time and energy. “He has made everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). He has every provision you need. “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty, I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment“ (Revelation 21:6). Trust Him for all your tomorrows. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord” (Jeremiah 29:11).
As you pray for the nation today, trust God with all of its tomorrows also. Trust Him to work in the lives of the men and women who would assume America’s leadership. He remains sovereign. Consider it done!

“Remember this and stand firm,
recall it to mind, you transgressors,
9 remember the former things of old;
for I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me,
10 declaring the end from the beginning
and from ancient times things not yet done,
saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
and I will accomplish all my purpose,’
11 calling a bird of prey from the east,
the man of my counsel from a far country.
I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass;
I have purposed, and I will do it.
12 “Listen to me, you stubborn of heart,
you who are far from righteousness:
13 I bring near my righteousness; it is not far off,
and my salvation will not delay;
I will put salvation in Zion,
for Israel my glory.”
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
