$8.08 billion shows 30% increase in the last 4 years.
The utilization of American land for energy production has been a key income source for the federal government for years. Secretary of the Interior David Bernhardt recently announced that under the Trump administration, the total amount earned from land and offshore drilling in the past fiscal year was $8.08 billion.
The U.S. Treasury received $2.88 billion of the total, while $1.81 billion was distributed to the 34 states hosting drills and wells, and $1 billion was given to Native American Tribes hosting drill sites. $1.05 billion was given to the Reclamation Fund, and $980 million to the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That the Interior Department would manage our lands with wisdom and discernment.
- For Secretary of the Interior David L. Bernhardt as he begins to close out in his role.
- That God’s guiding hand would be granted to the leadership of President Trump.
