John 1:5 – The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Have you ever experienced a power outage? It can get pretty dark at night when there are no lights on around you! But what happened as soon as a candle was lit or a flashlight turned on? The entire room got brighter! No matter how big of a room, even the darkest and most distant corner got a little easier to see. In the same way, God’s light shines in the darkest parts of the world.
The darkness of the world can seem overwhelming at times. It almost feels too big to handle and too powerful to control. But with God, you will always have a light to shine. And just as a candle can brighten even the darkest of rooms, God is able to bring light to the bleakest of situations. And there is no amount of darkness that can ever overtake it. May this picture bring you hope today.

God, You are the Light of the World. Thank you for the hope that I can find in You. Help me to not forget that You are greater than even the most difficult decisions I may face.
