President Trump to Add Flagpoles to White House Grounds

He also updated the Oval Office and has plans for the Rose Garden.

President Donald Trump has announced that two 100-foot flag poles will be added to the White House grounds to fly American flags on the North and South Lawns. He toured the lawns last week with the head White House groundskeeper to choose locations for them. The former real estate developer and hotel magnate said he will pay for the flag poles and their installation.

“They’ve needed flagpoles for 200 years,” President Trump stated to the press. “It was something I’ve often said. You know, they don’t have a flagpole, per se. So we’re putting one right where you saw us, and we’re putting another one on the side on top of the mounds. It’s going to be two beautiful poles.”

Since his inauguration, President Trump has repeatedly spoken of the “Golden Age of America” and has updated the Oval Office to reflect this symbolism. The redecoration has included golden accents on the fireplace, doorway arches, walls, and other areas of the office.

The president has plans to cover the lawn in the Rose Garden. He said that the grass is generally soaking wet and he would replace it with “gorgeous stone.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump as he plans and implements updates to the White House and its grounds.
  • For the president to seek the Lord’s wisdom in his strategies for the nation and foreign policy.
