Officials from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Ukraine are meeting today in London to discuss the war in Ukraine. Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently indicated that the U.S. is prepared to abandon peace talks if progress is not made. Russia has continued its drone assault on Ukraine and gained momentum, particularly against two of its port cities.
Vice President JD Vance is visiting India to discuss trade during the 90-day pause of President Donald Trump’s reciprocal tariffs. The vice president and his family traveled to New Delhi after spending this past weekend in Italy, where Vice President Vance met with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. He also met with Pope Francis the day before the pontiff passed away.
The justices of the Supreme Court are hearing a case regarding the Environmental Protection Agency’s grant of a federal preemption waiver to California in 2022 which allowed the state to adopt zero-emission-vehicle standards for new automobiles under a section of the Clean Air Act.
