IRS Considers President’s Request to End Harvard’s Tax Exempt Status

President Trump maintains that the nonprofit designation does not apply to the indoctrination occurring at universities.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is considering the revocation of the tax-exempt status of Harvard University. This comes after President Donald Trump’s administration requested a review of the university’s status after it refused to implement a number of policy changes the administration recommended earlier this month.

Harvard publicly refused to make the administration’s requested changes, dropping diversity, equity, and inclusivity policies and preventing the use of masks on campus by student demonstrators. The president’s administration then halted $2.8 billion in grants and contracts with Harvard.

“Tax exempt status is totally contingent on acting in the public interest,” President Trump wrote, saying that the university was violating public interest by pushing politics and ideology that supports terrorism.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump and officials in his administration as they seek to protect Jewish university students and faculty.
  • For wisdom for Acting Commissioner Deputy Treasury Secretary Michael Faulkender as he oversees the Internal Revenue Service.
  • For Secretary Scott Bessent to be led by God as he oversees all the agencies within the Treasury Department.
