Issue 695 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

The United States military conducted joint air drills with South Korea, deploying B-1B bombers over the Korean Peninsula. The South Korean Defense Ministry stated that the exercise was intended to “demonstrate South Korea-U.S. integrated extended deterrence capability and strengthen the interoperability of combined force” to deter North Korea.

Pray for U.S. defense leaders and international military officials as they collaborate on global conflict deterrence.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

This week, Russia conducted an overnight drone attack against Odessa, a port city on the Black Sea. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff are in France to discuss bringing peace between Ukraine and Russia with French President Emmanuel Macron and Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.

Pray for U.S. officials to be discerning as they pursue an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

Israel announced a continued block against humanitarian aid entering Gaza. As the military offensive has continued against the Palestinian territory, the Israeli defense minister said that preventing humanitarian aid deliveries will hinder Hamas’ ability to control the population. He stated the IDF seeks to evacuate Gazan civilians from the areas being attacked.

Pray for President Trump and U.S. officials as they engage in discussions surrounding Gaza and Hamas.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a survey that shows the prevalence of autism in the U.S. has increased from 1 in 36 children to 1 in 31.  Secretary Kennedy stated, “We are assembling teams of world-class scientists to focus research on the origins of the epidemic, and we expect to begin to have answers by September.”

Pray for Secretary Kennedy and CDC officials as they work to identify the origins of the increase in autism in children.

Pray for Needs Across the States

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has signed the Keep Kids First Act which prohibits the state from discriminating against individuals or organizations based on their faith when it comes to adoption or foster care. The legislation seeks to uphold religious freedom by ensuring Christians and other religious groups are able to be involved in child welfare services.

Mississippi State Auditor Shad White reported that audits have revealed $400 million in waste. The auditor jokingly dubbed his team MOGE, for the Mississippi Office of Government Efficiency, saying they are paying “the same attention to every penny” in the state as DOGE is federally.

Pray for state executives as they seek to protect religious liberties and reduce wasteful spending in state governments.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“The resurrection is so important for so many reasons. The resurrection is evidence that God’s Word is true. The resurrection gives us hope for the current time and the time to come. The resurrection is the reason why we have salvation. This is what Paul said about the resurrection: ‘But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.‘ (1 Corinthians 15:57-58 KJV) Christ is risen!!! Let’s walk steadfastly in His power that we may experience all that He has made available to us!!! “– Pastor James Kaddis, Light on the Hill
