Today is Tax Day. The Internal Revenue Service has extended the filing deadline to May 1, 2025, for nine states impacted by hurricanes and storms that were declared disasters by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This automatic deadline extension for 2024 tax return filings covers the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Some parts of New Mexico, Alaska, Tennessee, and Virginia are also included in the May 1 deadline. Three other regions have even later tax deadlines due to wildfires, severe storms, and flooding.

The first half of a two-part interview with President Donald Trump will be broadcast today on Fox Noticias, a Spanish-only program. The topics the president will address include immigration, border security, tariffs, and his administration’s economic agenda. The second part of the interview will air tomorrow.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee is holding the first day of a two-day meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, today. The committee will discuss a variety of vaccines for conditions from RSV, HPV, and the flu to measles, MPox, and Lyme disease.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For IRS workers as they assist taxpayers with their 2024 tax returns.
- For President Trump to receive wisdom from the Lord as he provides overviews of his policies and answers questions about the actions his administration is taking.
- For members of the CDC committee to be discerning as they evaluate vaccines and their efficacy.
