Senate Reviews Daylight Savings Time

Today, the Senate Appropriations Committee, chaired by Senator Susan Collins of Maine, is holding a hearing to examine American innovation in biomedical research.

The Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, chaired by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, is holding a hearing entitled “If I Could Turn Back Time: Should We Lock the Clock?“ They will hear testimony from officials and physicians to examine the various issues around whether the country should continue “springing forward” and “falling back” each year with time.

Several Senate committees are holding confirmation hearings for several positions in the Departments of Justice, Commerce, Treasury, Energy, Interior, and Housing and Urban Development.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the chairs and members of congressional committees as they hold hearings and consider the confirmation of the president’s nominees to federal agencies.
  • For Secretary Rubio and U.S. ambassadors as they engage foreign ministers in diplomatic discussions.
  • For wisdom for President Trump and officials in his Cabinet as they seek to improve the U.S. economy and make the government more efficient.
