The country has not taken back its citizens in a timely fashion.
The United States revoked all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders on Saturday, saying that the government of South Sudan failed to repatriate their citizens living in America in a timely way.
“Effective immediately, the United States Department of State is taking actions to revoke all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders and prevent further issuance to prevent entry into the United States by South Sudanese passport holders,” Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated.
“We will be prepared to review these actions when South Sudan is in full cooperation,” the secretary of state added.
South Sudan remains in a precarious position as a new government struggles to maintain a foothold within the turbulent nation.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Rubio as he oversees the revocation of visas from countries reticent to repatriate their citizens.
- For wisdom for President Trump and his administration officials as they strategize the deportation of illegal aliens from the U.S.
