The Lord is the stronghold of my life. – Psalm 27:1
Have you heard of cosmic lasagna? In humankind’s ongoing search for stronger, harder substances one of the most recent discoveries on the list is a “super-material” billions of times stronger than steel known as “Nuclear Pasta.” Found in the crusts of neutron stars, its shape resembles lasagna, gnocchi, and spaghetti. A teaspoon weighs a billion tons, and if we were able to bring it to Earth it would cause a massive nuclear explosion. Researchers are working to determine how such an amazing material impacts the life of our universe.
Meanwhile, the Earth continues to spin and human life can appear chaotic and confused. Global trade, health concerns, and social turmoil have people looking for something solid to stand on. The Bible proclaims God’s character as the Power that can indeed bear the weight of the world.
God’s active strength has been on display since the beginning of creation when He formed the universe and filled it with life. From before the stars were hung in place God planned a beautiful rescue for all who will trust Him through the sacrifice and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. In His salvation, death has been conquered for eternity and every agent of evil has been defeated. Now history is just marching that victory out in real time.
Be confident in the goodness of the loving Lord and don’t be rattled by what’s going on around you today. Fall on your knees and put your entire faith in God. Pray for your neighbors, legislators, and clergy in America to join you in standing on Jesus Christ, the most solid of all rocks.
Today’s Verse: Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
7 On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
8 Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your heart before him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah
9 Those of low estate are but a breath;
those of high estate are a delusion;
in the balances they go up;
they are together lighter than a breath.
Once God has spoken;
twice have I heard this:
that power belongs to God
