State Department Revokes Over 300 Student Visas

Secretary Rubio identifies pro-Palestine protests as the factor in detainment of foreign students.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that at least 300 foreign students have had their visas revoked recently at a press conference.

In January, President Donald Trump signed an executive order stating, “It is the policy of the United States to protect its citizens from aliens who intend to commit terrorist attacks, threaten our national security, espouse hateful ideology, or otherwise exploit the immigration laws for malevolent purposes.”

Protestors have continued to participate in anti-American demonstrations on college campuses since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023. The president’s administration has supported the arrest of foreign university students who have advocated for the Gaza-based terrorist group. The secretary of state has explained that visas are not going to be issued for those who support terrorist organizations and that those who do will have their student visa revoked.

“Maybe more, it might be more than 300 at this point,” Secretary Rubio said. “We do it every day.” He added, “I hope at some point we run out because we have gotten rid of all of them, but we’re looking every day for these lunatics that are tearing things up.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Rubio as he carries out the diplomatic strategy of the United States.
  • For administration officials as they create policies and work to protect American interests around the globe.
  • For God to direct the president and secretary of state as they work closely together on issues of national security.
