Some that were “mistakenly or maliciously” removed are being restored, he says.
Chief Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell confirmed that the Department of Defense (DoD) is reviewing the content it removed from its website in its mass takedown of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program material.
“Over the past few weeks, we’ve taken action to identify and archive DEI content from our websites and social media platforms,” Spokesman Parnell said. “Without question, this task was an arduous but incredibly important undertaking.”
The department’s website hosted thousands of articles outlining the historic contributions of U.S. service members, some of which were unintentionally removed during the mass purge. Parnell emphasized that this was not done to erase history but to curate shared values within President Trump’s Defense Department.
“Some content was archived that should not have been,” Parnell admitted. “When content is either mistakenly removed or if it’s maliciously removed, we continue to work quickly to restore it.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Hegseth to be led by the Lord as he heads the Defense Department.
- For wisdom for President Trump as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.
