Secretary of State Marco Rubio is traveling to Jamaica to meet with Prime Minister Andrew Holness and Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley.

Secretary Rubio spoke with the Jamaican prime minister last month regarding the partnership his country has with the U.S.
The secretary of state’s visit will continue discussions of the ties between the United States and Jamaica to further strengthen security cooperation and enhance Jamaica’s efforts to disrupt illicit trafficking and combat organized crime.
During his visit to the Caribbean, Secretary Rubio will clarify the stance of President Trump’s administration regarding the revocation of U.S. visas for officials utilizing the medical mission program from Cuba. The State Department said, “Cuba’s labor export program involves forced labor and exploitation of workers around the globe, enriches the Cuban regime, and treats Cuban doctors as commodities.”
