Group of State Attorneys General File Brief in Support of President’s Immigration Policy

They also support President Trump’s designation of gang leaders as terrorists.

A group of state attorneys general (AG) filed an amicus brief with the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia this week, urging the appellate court to overturn an order issued by District Judge James Boasberg.

Judge Boasberg issued a temporary restraining order on Saturday against President Donald Trump’s administration, attempting to stop the federal government from deporting five Venezuelans. According to the administration, the deportation flights were already over international waters and not subject to the judge’s order.

The filing made by the state AGs showed their support for the president’s agenda to deport these immigrants as gang members and terrorists.

“The judges are basically supporting foreign terrorist organizations over the public safety of the American citizen,” South Carolina AG Alan Wilson said. “They are inhibiting the ability of federal law enforcement to support the initiatives of state law enforcement.”

President Trump said of the judges, “Unlawful Nationwide Injunctions by Radical Left Judges could very well lead to the destruction of our Country! … These Judges want to assume the Powers of the Presidency, without having to attain 80 million votes. They want all of the advantages with none of the risks.”

The president added, “A President has to be allowed to act quickly and decisively about such matters as returning murderers, drug lords, rapists, and other such type criminals back to their Homeland, or to other locations that will allow our Country to be SAFE.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump and the state attorneys general as they seek to protect the Article II authority of the president under the Constitution.
  • For district and appellate judges to uphold the separation of powers and balance of co-equal government branches.
