He continues negotiations for peace between Ukraine and Russia.
President Donald Trump held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday after having a long telephone discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.
President Trump stated, “Just completed a very good telephone call with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine. … Much of the discussion was based on the call made yesterday with President Putin in order to align both Russia and Ukraine in terms of their requests and needs.“
President Trump added, “We are very much on track.”
On Tuesday, President Putin agreed to stop attacks against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure for 30 days as ceasefire negotiations continue. Russia and Ukraine also exchanged 175 prisoners of war on Wednesday.
