President Trump postponed the national security ban long enough for the possible U.S. acquisition of the China-based company.
Vice President JD Vance expressed confidence that the China-based company Bytedance will sell its popular social media platform TikTok before April 5, the deadline for the divestment that was delayed by President Donald Trump’s executive order.
President Trump questioned TikTok’s digital security during his first term, and in January the Supreme Court upheld a law passed during President Biden’s administration that required Bytedance to either sell TikTok or face a ban on the app in the United States. At the beginning of his second term, President Trump signed an executive order extending the deadline for the mandated sale until April 5.
“There will almost certainly be a high-level agreement that I think satisfies our national security concerns, allows there to be a distinct American TikTok enterprise,” Vice President Vance said in an interview aboard Air Force Two.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Vice President Vance as he promotes and advances the president’s agenda.
- For the president, vice president, and administration officials to be led by the Lord in their actions and decisions.
