President Donald Trump’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, has presented a new proposal to Israel and Hamas for extending the ceasefire in Gaza. The plan would provide for peace through the Jewish Passover holiday and Muslim Ramadan.
Phase one of the initial ceasefire agreement expired on March 1. Israel halted humanitarian aid to Gaza as Hamas refused to enter into phase two by the deadline.
Envoy Witkoff presented a plan outlining the delivery of aid into Gaza and the release of 5 living hostages and 9 who are deceased. The U.S. special envoy met with negotiators and officials from Israel, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia in Doha, Qatar, this past week.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That President Trump and members of his administration would be prudent in their proposals for extending the ceasefire in Gaza.
- For wisdom for the president and U.S. diplomats as they negotiate terms for peace in the Ukraine-Russia war.
- For Secretary of State Rubio and Envoy Witkoff to be led by God in their interactions with foreign ministers and leaders.
