The agency’s administrator is also trying to recoup $20 billion allocated under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin announced this month that he canceled $1.7 billion in diversity, equity, and inclusivity grants administered by his agency.
“I am canceling over 400 DEI and Environmental Justice grants across 9 grant programs totaling $1.7 billion,” Administrator Zeldin said. “This fourth round of EPA/DOGE cuts was our biggest yet.”
“Working hand-in-hand with DOGE to rein in wasteful federal spending, EPA has saved more than $2 billion in taxpayer money,” added the EPA administrator “It is our commitment at EPA to be exceptional stewards of tax dollars.”
The EPA is working to recoup $20 billion in taxpayer dollars that President Biden’s administration allotted under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund. As the Justice Department investigates, the funding has been frozen by Citibank, who received the money that was to be distributed to eight nonprofits.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Administrator Zeldin to be discerning as he seeks to recoup funds and end federal spending on DEI initiatives.
- For EPA officials as they assess and evaluate environmental regulations and community and corporate adherence to them.
