Now the “CBP Home” app facilitates illegal aliens’ self-deportation.
The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) One app that President Biden’s administration offered for illegal immigrants to register for humanitarian parole ahead of their arrival at U.S. ports of entry has been repurposed. President Donald Trump’s administration has converted the app into CBP Home, which has the option for illegal aliens to notify the U.S. government of their intent to return to their country of origin. The app includes the options to “submit intent to depart” and “verify departure.”
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said, “With the launching of the CBP Home App, we are restoring integrity to our immigration system.”
“The CBP Home App gives aliens the option to leave now and self-deport, so they may still have the opportunity to return legally in the future and live the American dream,” the DHS secretary added. “If they don’t, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return.”
Secretary Noem stated, “If you are considering entering America illegally, don’t even think about it. Let me be clear. If you come to our country and you break our laws, we will hunt you down.”
