President Seeks U.S. Buyer for TikTok

President Donald Trump continues to seek a purchaser to acquire TikTok to keep the social media app operating in the United States. On the day he was inaugurated, he put a 75-day pause on the ban of the platform that had begun the day before. President Trump said of the discussions his administration has had, “We’re dealing with four different groups, and a lot of people want it… all four are good.”

Secretary Marco Rubio is in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, today for discussions on ending the Russia-Ukraine war. State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said he will also meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to discuss ways to advance shared interests in the region and strengthen the U.S.-Saudi relationship.

Today is the deadline to submit public comments to the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) regarding unfair trade or non-reciprocal foreign trade practices and possible remedies. The USTR will be completing a comprehensive review of U.S. trade policy and recommendations to the president by April 1.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That President Trump receives God’s wisdom as he seeks a purchaser for the social media platform.
  • For discernment for Secretary Rubio as he meets with Ukrainian counterparts to negotiate peace in Ukraine.
  • For U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer as he conducts the comprehensive review of non-reciprocal foreign trade.
