President Trump was in Florida at the time.
On Sunday, the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) shot an armed man outside the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, roughly a block from the White House. The service received an alert when Metropolitan police issued a BOLO about the possibly suicidal individual. The man reportedly drove from Indiana to Washington, D.C., and also had a rifle in his car.
Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi stated, “As officers approached, the individual brandished a firearm, and an armed confrontation ensued, during which shots were fired by our personnel.”
The man was taken to a local hospital. The DC Metropolitan Police’s Internal Affairs Division Force Investigations Team is heading the investigation.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Director Sean Curran to be discerning as he heads the U.S. Secret Service.
- For wisdom for Secret Service agents as they provide security and protection to the president and other officials.
