SEC to Hold Roundtable on Artificial Intelligence

The agency will host discussions on the impact of AI on the financial industry.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced a roundtable discussion will be held on March 27 regarding artificial intelligence (AI) in the financial industry.

The SEC stated, “The AI roundtable will discuss the risks, benefits, and governance of AI in the financial industry.“

SEC Acting Chairman Mark Uyeda and SEC Commissioners Hester Peirce and Caroline Crenshaw will be speaking at the event.

Federal financial officials have expressed concerns over the use of AI, particularly in the estimates or forecasting of trends. The possibility of AI creating trends rather than tracking them is one of the concerns.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Acting Chair Uyeda to be led by the Lord as he oversees the SEC.
  • For the commissioners and others who will participate in the roundtable to be discerning about AI.
