Senator Graham expresses support for the president’s special envoy’s discussions.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed this week that the president’s special envoy has begun directly communicating with Hamas, the designated terrorist group in control of the Gaza Strip.
The press secretary said, “When it comes to the negotiations… the special envoy who’s engaged in those negotiations does have the authority to talk to anyone.“
“Israel was consulted on this matter,” Press Secretary Leavitt added. “Dialogue and talking to people around the world to do what’s in the best interest of the American people, is something that the president has proven, what he believes is good-faith effort to do what’s right for the American people.”
This decision has received the support of Senator Lindsey Graham, who said President Trump’s message stating “Release the hostages or you will be destroyed“ is “the kind of leadership we need.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for Special Envoy Witkoff as he seeks to negotiate peace in Gaza and release of the hostages.
- For the president and U.S. officials to be led by God as they work for peace in war-torn regions.
