The FBI and DOJ are investigating the misconduct and potential fraud of the grant program under the Inflation Reduction Act.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin formally referred the financial mismanagement, conflicts of interest, and oversight failures of President Biden’s administration over the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to the Inspector General for additional investigation. The previous administration rushed to distribute $20 billion in taxpayer dollars under the Inflation Reduction Act before the start of President Donald Trump’s second term.
“I made a commitment to members of Congress and to the American people to be a good steward of tax dollars, and I’ve wasted no time in keeping my word,” Administrator Zeldin said. “When we learned about the Biden administration’s scheme to quickly park $20 billion outside the agency, we suspected that some organizations were created out of thin air just to take advantage of this.”
“We stand firmly alongside the Office of the Inspector General in our shared mission to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse with the EPA,” the EPA administration stated “The American people deserve accountability and responsible stewardship of their tax dollars.“
Alongside the EPA’s comprehensive review of “troubling evidence… of improper conduct,“ the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Justice Department have launched an investigation into the misconduct, potential fraud, and conflicts of interest surrounding the climate grant program.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for Administrator Zeldin as he seeks to recoup the mismanaged funds under the Inflation Reduction Act.
- For FBI and DOJ officials as they investigate the misconduct and potential fraud under the climate program.
