He says he will block federal funding for universities that allow them.
President Donald Trump pledged to withhold federal funding from higher education institutions that allow “illegal protests” on their campuses. The right to assemble and protest is a First Amendment right. As long as there is no violence, it is legal to protest any cause for any reason in almost any public area within the United States.
“All Federal Funding will STOP for any College, School, or University that allows illegal protests. Agitators will be imprisoned/or permanently sent back to the country from which they came,” President Trump wrote.
“American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on the crime, arrested. NO MASKS! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” the president concluded.
President Trump’s administration will review its grants and contracts with the colleges where criminal activity is taking place, labeling the protests as antisemitic and urging universities to prohibit the use of anti-Israel language on their campuses.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump to be led by the Lord as he seeks to ensure peaceful protests on college campuses.
- For wisdom for law enforcement and university officials as they address Anti-Semitic and pro-Palestinian violence and disruptions.
