Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, is considering President Donald Trump’s nominations of Dean Sauer for U.S. Solicitor General and Harmeet Dhillon and Aaron Reitz for Assistant Attorneys General in the Department of Justice.
The Senate Commerce Committee, chaired by Senator Mike Crapo of Idaho, is considering the president’s nomination of Michael Faulkender as Deputy Secretary of the Treasury.
The Senate Health, Labor, Education, and Pensions Committee, chaired by Senator Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, will hold a business meeting on the president’s nomination of Keith Sonderling as Deputy Secretary of Labor. They will then hold a confirmation hearing for Martin Makary, the president’s nominee for Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration.
