Pray for America’s Military
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the deployment of 3,000 active duty troops to the U.S. southern border in the coming weeks. The Pentagon stated that the Stryker Brigade Combat Team will “reinforce and expand current border security operations to seal the border and protect the territorial integrity of the United States,” and support the Department of Homeland Security’s efforts to “secure our southern border and maintain the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security of the United States.“
Pray for the secretaries of Defense and Homeland Security as they work together to ensure U.S. border security.
PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE
On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed willingness to “move very fast” through the next stages for peace between his country and Russia, after a disastrous meeting in the Oval Office with President Trump and his administration officials last week. President Zelensky expressed gratitude to President Trump and regret over how the meeting went on Friday. He stated it “is time to make things right” indicating he is prepared to sign the mineral deal that was on the table.
Pray for President Trump and members of his diplomatic team as they strive to bring about peace in Ukraine.
Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL
Secretary of State Rubio invoked “emergency authorities” to bypass Congress and expedite the delivery of $4 billion in military aid to Israel. Israel has cut off aid to Gaza as Hamas is allowed several days to consider the next phase of a U.S. ceasefire plan. Arab nations have accepted Egypt’s reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip, an alternative to President Trump’s proposal for the U.S. to rebuild it.
Pray for U.S. and Israeli officials as they seek to continue the ceasefire in Gaza.
Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released data indicating that the flu vaccine was poorly matched to the strain of flu virus this winter. Health officials reported that influenza rates this past fall and winter were the worst since the swine flu pandemic in 2009.
Pray for Secretary Kennedy and HHS officials as they assess and seek to improve the state of public health.
Pray for Needs Across the States
The New Jersey Assembly filed articles of impeachment against the state’s Attorney General Matthew Platkin. They accused him of targeting “certain organizations based upon the political beliefs of the organization, specifically pro-life pregnancy centers.”
Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced a state resolution to rebrand “N.Y. Strip“ steaks as “Texas Strip“ steaks. “I asked why we didn’t call it a ‘Texas Strip’ because New York has mostly dairy cows,” he said. “Just because a New York restaurant named Texas beef a New York Strip in the 19th century doesn’t mean we need to keep doing that.”
Pray for state officials as they address issues that impact their regions and constituents.
